While hand-rammed earth and rammed earth paint both need to be rammed and applied on site, rammed earth panels are prefabricated in the factory and delivered to the site ready to be hung and installed.
Decorative rammed earth panels, also known as peer-to-peer rammed earth panels, are a type of panel whose texture resembles that of a rammed earth wall. Rammed earth panels are made by mixing clay, sand and stone together in a certain ratio to form an aggregate similar to concrete. The aggregate is poured into a mold for curing and demolding to form the rammed earth panels. It can be prefabricated in advance for easy installation, greatly reducing the construction cycle while saving costs. The rammed earth material is used as a space-defining element in landscape and site design, playing a certain role of enclosure and restraint without losing the sense of intimacy. The rich texture of the rammed earth wall, as well as the red or yellow colors, are natural and harmonious when paired with plants, water system and other landscape elements.
